Policy Action

We reform state and local mental health policies and programs to improve the lives of youth and their families. Effective mental health policy leads to more youth growing up in their own communities, graduating from high school, building positive long-term relationships, and successfully transitioning into adulthood. Our advocates have the unique knowledge, expertise, and influence to push for system-wide changes—positively impacting not just one, but thousands of youth.

Our policy action efforts include:

  • Educating stakeholders and decision makers on the mental health needs of youth
  • Advocating for effective policies and programs that improve the lives and youth at the state and local level
  • Building public support for youth-friendly policies and programs
